Doesn’t quite look like like a 67k garage queen, interior has comparable wear to the ‘89 I owned (which had 289k miles), and claims that the motor, trans, AND motor replaced at just 52k miles!? What the hell for?

Um. If the motor and trans were replaced doesn’t that mean it no longer has 67000 original miles?

Hah, yeah the ad is plagued with little red flags.

Devils advocate: the truck could have racked up 52,000 miles in a few years from new and then sat 20 years for some reason. Maybe he died and his wife couldn’t drive a manual but didn’t want to get rid of it. Current owner buys it non-running in 2013 and decides easiest fix is to just replace drivetrain. Puts another 14k on it and now decides to sell.

Probably something much sketchier going on, though. One of my coworkers has an almost identical Toyota. Isn't uncommon for the odo to quit on those. His reads 217k but it is somewhere over 300. The odometer just runs when it feels like it.

Hey the odometer in my ‘89 also failed. It had well over 289k but how much more I’ll never know.

So.... nothing on the history report from 1990 until 2007 when a corrected title was issued. Something strange is going on here.

Shenanigans is what’s up. No history, suspicious miles vs wear and tear, and a compete powertrain rebuild?
